Andy Gross

Andy and Ginny Gross live in Memphis, TN and minister with an organization called Habitat for Hope. www.habitatforhope.org Before moving to Memphis in 2008, Andy served at the Center for Global Outreach with NMSI www.nmsi.org for five years as the Facilities Manager over the office building, several campus houses and community vehicles. He also led the guy's Bible study on campus and helped lead worship at the CGO. Mark and Mylissa Horrocks, who are also NMSI missionaries, moved to Memphis from South Florida in 2006 and started Habitat for Hope (HFH). HFH is a support ministry to families enduring pediatric life threatening illness. While working at the CGO, Andy had the opportunity to go to Memphis in October of 2006 to help Mark and Mylissa get their home set up to host families displaced in Memphis while seeking treatment at one of two children’s hospitals there. After several trips to Memphis to help with short-term projects, Andy began to talk about moving to Memphis to work with HFH full-time. During one of his visits, he met Ginny; a nurse at a local cancer hospital. They quickly fell in love. Andy moved to Memphis in January 2008 and married Ginny in April 2008. He works in the area of facilities, helping with repairs and projects around the property HFH’s beautiful 50 acre property. This property serves as as the hub of HFH and it’s ministry; providing housing, respite care, times of fellowship spiritual renewal, and just plain fun! The Horrocks family resides on the middle floor of the main house while providing temporary housing on the top floor (short-term) and in the downstairs fully-furnished apartment (long-term). HFH also maintains two fully-furnished apartments in a gated community in downtown Memphis. All facilities are available, completely free of charge, to families seeking treatment for a child with a serious illness. HFH is currently in the planning and fundraising phase of further developing its property to enhance the ministry of HFH. Andy is a licensed building contractor and part of the leadership team for this development. As a licensed building contractor, Andy will be directing the construction phase once it begins. He is also active with HFH as a worship director and in the area of family care. Ginny worked full-time as a nurse up until September 2009 and has now come along side Andy to support and help Andy in the ministry of HFH. On January 2nd, 2010 Andy and Ginny’s first son Andy, Jr. (called A.J.) was born. Ginny very much enjoys being a full-time mom and helping out with the ministry of HFH where she can.
