John and Aloyna Hamilton

John became involved with New Mission Systems International through various short-term projects in Russia, where he sensed God's call in his live. He has been residing in Yaroslavl since 2001 where he met his wife, Alyona. They married in 2002 and had their first child, Alexandra, in October 2005.

The Hamiltons meet with pastors for mutual encouragement. They also maintain relationships with Fr. Dimitri and Fr. Michael of the Russian Orthodox Church to prepare the way for summer projects. They are in the process of constructing their house and banya/guest suite for small NMSI interns/short-term teams. Alyona teaches English as a means of building relationships to introduce discussions about spiritual matters. The Hamiltons are continuing their research into possibilities with orphanage ministries.
