Mike and Karen Osborn
Mike & Karen have been serving as missionaries with NMSI since October of 2001. Initially, Mike served as the Chief Operations Officer from the Center for Global Outreach (CGO) in Ft. Myers for 6 years. This was pretty much a "serve where needed most" role which included Operations and Administration, Facilities Management, and IT and Communications oversight. Mike is part of the Executive leadership team at NMSI and is also the Caribbean Field Advisor which includes Haiti, Costa Rica and Panama. In the fall of 2007, Mike began a new area of ministry at NMSI entitled Stewardship Services. This includes teaching and training of new missionaries, Capital campaigns and major donor development, Estate Planning and Gift Design and oversight of Grant Writing activities. Karen serves at the CGO as the Office and Housing Interiors and Aesthetics coordinator. She is an interior decorator and insures that housing is ready for missionaries coming to the CGO campus. Our passions are in the areas of teaching, stewardship, and hospitality. We are members of First Christian Church of Ft Myers where Karen serves on the Levite team and Mike is one of the Missions team leaders and is a regular Bible Study teacher.
We have three children. Our son Curtis, age 24, lives locally and is an aircraft mechanic. Our daughter Amber, age 22, is handicapped and currently lives at home with us, and our daughter Alicia, age 16, is a sophomore at North Ft Myers High School.
We consider it an honor to be a part of FCC's supported missionaries, a member of the Church, and part of the global NMSI family. You can also check out the profile listed in the FCC Supported Missionaries piece, and refer to www.nmsi.org for additional information.
